Overload is a 3D first-person shooter game developed & released by Revival Productions for Windows, macOS, Linux, Xbox One & PS4. The game is set on the moons of Saturn, where facilities sent out distress signals about the mining robots becoming aggressive. Overload is described as a 'spiritual successor' to the Descent and Descent II games & received favorable reviews.

The game features six degree of freedom. The gameplay involves a wide range of weaponry to choose from & with new single player campaign, the game combines the classic 6 DOF gameplay with modern graphics.

Overload Multiplayer:

Overload includes a multiplayer mode that allow you to play the game with your friends / family. The game has a multiplayer mode along with single player so you can play solo or with friends.

Overload Gameplay:

Descent was the first 3D video game released in 1993 that let gamer move, turn & start shooting in any direction. Overload has taken elements of typical 6 degree of freedom shooter & utilizes updated technology to push the game to a complete new level.

There are fifteen levels of campaign that are filled with hard battle & exploration. The gameplay includes several robot adversaries & three massive bosses.

There are twelve upgrade able weapons with six levels of difficulty that let players battle against tough opponents.

Overload is available on PC with completely customizable joystick, gamepad, mouse & keyboard controls.

The Verdict:

As a “spiritual successor” to Descent, the game reproduces the Descent experience extremely well. There is sufficient to see and do even after completing the main game and if you are a huge fan of Descent game then Overload is a game for you. The game accomplishes what it sets out to do and features new gameplay, graphics and weapons.
