When Mohammad Amir plays against India & Australia, it gives him extra energy (Classical Story):

Mohammad Amir said in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo that being a bowler he is satisfied because he had made a comeback in all three formats after five years ban & it’s a big accomplishment. He didn’t play any cricket during five years period & had hardly played five first class games. He maintained his fitness even without playing cricket & after his return in 2016, he bowled second most overs for Pakistan in that year. He thanked to Almighty Allah for keeping him fit & he kept on representing Pakistan in all formats. After his return to Pakistan international team, he was unlucky at times when catches were dropped during his bowling. It was difficult for him to continue with same momentum after 5 years gap.

Cricket fans missed Mohammad Amir who could swing the ball like Wasim Akram. He had long hairs when he was 17-18 years old but now he has a beard.

Amir thinks that nowadays the margin of swing in cricket has reduced now & it is difficult to get wickets with swinging deliveries now. However you can get swinging wickets based upon certain conditions like if it rain before the match then there will be moisture which can swing the ball otherwise the tracks are suitable for batting. As for the swing, when he played a Test series in West Indies, the conditions suit his bowling. The Duke ball swung so it means that he can still swing the ball.

It was difficult for Amir to maintain fitness after 5 years gap & he has once again started playing all three formats of cricket.

Amir has not played enough cricket & has big plans for the future but right now he is focusing on Tests, ODIs & T20 formats. He wants to play more cricket for Pakistan & so far he has played only 30 Test matches.

Amir’s two deliveries in Champions Trophy final against India changed his image in UK. The catch being dropped first & Kohli getting out on the next ball was the main reason for winning the final match. Amir thinks that team India are more dependent on Kohli’s performance.

When Amir plays against India & Australia, it gives him extra energy. He always wants to play better cricket against these top two teams. It is his dream to perform against India as it makes him feel proud & he gets support from Pakistani fans too. Every player wants to perform against tough team like India.
