Fortnite Battle Royale is developed & published by Epic Games which is currently available for PC Windows, Mac OS, PS4, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch. It is also set to be released on Android in 2018. It is a survival game with building skills & a spin-off from Fortnite: Save the World.

You can have a team of two / four players or play alone. The game features hundred players & you need to slay other players or evade them while staying in a shrinking safe zone to stop taking damage from being outside it in order to win. You need to pick weapons of your dead adversaries & find armor for survival. You can build & can destroy most objects in the game world to gather resources that can be used to build defenses.

The game was inspired of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds which saw many fans enjoy playing it & it even broke records throughout 2017. After its success, Fortnite developers saw the opportunity to create a multiplayer survival game featuring hundred players.

You will begin the game with bare hands, skydiving from Battle Bus then deploying a glider onto an island. You can break down almost all objects in the environment into materials (stone, wood & metal) which you can use to build fortifications such as ramps, floors, walls & roofs.

You can use the in-game currency called V-Bucks which can be shared with the original Fortnite video game which provides gamers the opportunity to gather currency by finishing missions or daily quests. You can buy different cosmetic upgrades using V-Bucks which includes both character & weapon costume improvements. Dynamic weather is included & each season adds a new set of cosmetic items which are only available inside that season. These are provided through a Battle pass which offers a no. of tiers that you can climb through by collecting experience through completing goals & their general performance during matches. After finishing each tier you will receive cosmetic rewards or other items. You can have an access to a free Battle Pass which has a limited no. of tiers & you can also buy a lengthy Battle Pass using in-game currency, which provides numerous more tiers, rewards & dares to complete those tiers. You can use V-Bucks to complete tiers also once you have a Battle Pass.

If you have played PUBG then you must start restraining your mind when it comes to thinking about traversal. You can now build stairs to access sloped areas quickly. It is a different game & you must need to start getting used to these mechanics quickly.

You must think about your weaknesses & your escape points & how you can swing the tide of battle back in your favor when you are under pressure.

It is very important to know that it is very risky to enter building made by someone. The player inside the building will know where you are coming from & although they can hear you coming, you can’t see where they are located. If you know that a player is inside the building then wait for him to come out instead & catch them by surprise.

Also you can use the building materials that you have collected & create a structure that warps around the building they are in. This method will help you to stake them out from above & effectively turns the tables on them without putting yourself in a particularly defenseless position.
