Elea Review:

In this first person, sci-fi adventure game, protagonist named Elea is a space scientist, who is on a journey to find her lost husband. Horrid childhood disease spreads in the world & Elea’s husband became part of the mission to colonize habitable planet named Solace for mankind survival but his ship got lost on the planet Solace. After 13 years, Elea joins a mission in order to find about her lost husband.

You play as a space scientist in this episodic sci-fi adventure. Control Elea & progress through the Elea Episode 1 story by interacting with your surrounding & solving puzzles. First episode of the trilogy is about Elea & her family.

Elea Development:

Elea is developed by Kyodai which is a tiny Bulgarian game studio with big ambition. The developers love first person video games & believe that they can develop big games based on story telling. They developed Elea based on an objective to bring real innovation to the first person genre & to have a uniquely different element besides an excellent story.

Elea Gameplay:

Kyodai observed that most story driven first person adventures provide only one main distinct location with one visual style & tone. They worked on a totally different approach to the genre because they are greatly inspired by old school games. The tale of Elea is narrated in a style like that of old school platformers, where there is a lot of variation b/w different levels. You can proceed from lava to snow level followed by an underwater level in old school platformers. Kyodai wanted that Elea must have this variation in environments too.

After 13 years, Elea joins a recovery mission to find out what happened to the lost ship. You can enjoy a wonderful space journey in this game.

Explore the hallways, control rooms & ecosystems of the ship which is set to colonize Solace, an unexplored exoplanet where life exists. You are in a space ship known as Pilgrimage II & your mission is to protect the ship & discover what happened to Pilgrimage I.

The game lets you explore 3D environments. Also interact with various objects & solve puzzles.

Elea Story:

The game is set in year 2093. People are struggling due to an epidemic that causes newborn children to rage uncontrollably. The disease spreads throughout the Earth & it became urgent to find a new home. A planet which is Earth like was detected nearby where a new population could be raised.

Elea is a woman whose life is turned upside down following the spread of global pandemic that turned her youngest son into a psychopath. Fortunately, an Earth-like planet named Solace is discovered. An interstellar spacecraft named Pilgrimage was built with the hopes of humanity survival by colonizing the new planet Solace. The space journey mission was a success & the ship made a successful arrival, but after the arrival all the communications with the spacecraft were lost. What caused the total radio silence still remains a mystery? After 13 years, research starship Recovery has arrived on site to investigate the fate of the expedition. Game protagonist is a space scientist River Elea Catherine Jones. She wants to find her husband Ethan, who was on the Pilgrimage’s spacecraft.
