Google is monitoring the
performance of their Project Stream program while providing free access to
AC: Odyssey because they are using it as a test game. Now more details about the working of the
Project Stream service are coming our way.
We have a chance to play
AC: Odyssey for free till 15 January, 2019. After this period, you
won’t have access to this game & won’t be able to continue your saved game.
You can stream AC: Odyssey in Chrome browser & you can play it
on any PC after providing your Google account.
Each account is also allowed to
buy some of the AC: Odyssey’s microtransactions using free credit
of $10. After that, you won’t be allowed to buy more credits on your own. You
can play AC: Odyssey using controller connected via USB or mouse
& keyboard.
There’s a similar announcement
from Microsoft as they recently announced their new xCloud streaming plans. However,
Google is ahead of Microsoft because they have started testing their service while
Microsoft have plans to test it in 2019. There is one benefit of using
Microsoft service that Google can’t provide. According to Google, we cannot
play games on a smart device, while Microsoft’s announcement made it clear that
their service is available on smart devices as well.
