Deracine is different from FromSoftware’s previous games in many ways. Unlike Dark Souls, the game does not feature intense action. The experience is more peaceful, one that does not let you die multiple times when you encounter hard enemies. Most of FromSoftware’s games had characters’ faces covered in armor so the studio faced problems when designing faces & expressions for characters.

Deracine is set in a world which is frozen & you will explore the same school but at different times, & you will see characters frozen & when you click on them, you will listen to their thoughts.

It is a boring game because everything stands still, & there is no gameplay conflict. You can get an item (for example a key) from the character & you can use it somewhere else to progress along the sequence of events.

Deracine offers no horrors & you will not die in this game. Deracine is released on PS VR on 6 November, 2018.

Deracine Gameplay:

You can play as an invisible faerie in a secluded boarding school, you can move around in frozen time, gathering clues that can be used to uncover a mystery. The game uses VR technology to give players thrill & excitement & this is FromSoftware’s first game on this platform. The studio uses PS VR technology to build a classic adventure video game where gamers will be able to discover a silent world packed with mysteries.

Deracine Story:

5 children live in a secluded boarding school. You can play as an invisible faerie summoned by a child, Yuliya, who believes in Faeries’ duty to save those in need with their ability to change & traverse time.

You can explore the world & find clues which will help you progress. Searching & piecing info. together will put gamers into the story’s world, & bind them to the characters in the physical world.

The game offers you 2 skills. The first allows you to look at current objectives through a pocket watch, & it also offers you the power to travel through time when the story permits you. The second skill let you absorb time from things & people around you using a glowing red ring.

You can discover the school by going back & forth in time. You can interact with current children & their past versions. You can listen to old conversations which helps you solve this mystery.

You need to discover hidden items which let you advance narrative during each chapter. You need to solve puzzles that are similar to one another & needs your attention to the conversations which offers clues to crack them. Sometimes you don’t get meaningful info. from the clues but most of the time they point you in the right direction.
