Distrust is a Rogue lite survival video game. You can now get Distrust on PS4. The game is developed by Cheerdealers & it is inspired by John Carpenter’s The Thing & sees gamers having to survive a monster in an Artic base. Nobody from the outside world is coming for help so you must fight for your team survival.

When I came to know that Distrust is inspired by John Carpenter’s The Thing, I was very excited because that movie had a huge impact on me.

Distrust Story:

A team was on a rescue mission when their helicopter crashed & they found themselves stranded near an abandoned Arctic base. The survivors start to experience strange symptoms: the longer they stay awake, the more twisted their perceptions of reality become. They learn that the real nightmare starts when they sleep.

Distrust Gameplay:

Distrust allows you to craft & use your resources wisely. When somebody try to get to sleep, they go a little mad & you have to try to figure out if they can trust their senses.

The survivors are finding a way out & they face weird situations as they try to sleep just enough to stave off fatigue without drying, they slowly go mad & reach the point where they cannot trust their senses. Staying awake causes strange imperceptions, from a harmless chromatism to dangerous hallucinations.

The arctic base is conquered by strange forces. You must explore the environment, battle against opposing forces, & try your best to protect your friends. You need to help the remaining survivors, overcome harsh climate & fight against enemy forces. Looking around the base, you need to find out where all the populations have gone.

Distrust Features:

Lead the survivors through an Arctic base, face the harsh climate & battle the enemy. The gameplay of Distrust is set in extreme climate
