Final Fantasy IX Story:

Zidane is a member of a thief troupe who is given a mission to capture Princess Garnet, the heir of Alexandria but the princess herself desired to escape the castle. The princess & her guard, Steiner, teams up with Zidane to stop Queen Brahne & her ally Kuja from waging a war with an army of black mages.

Final Fantasy IX Gameplay:

Whenever you encounter an opponent, the map changes to the battle screen. On this screen, an opponent shows on the opposite side of the characters. All characters have unique skills. Thief Zidane can steal from the opponent, Eiko & Garnet can summon “eidolons” to help the team & Vivi can use black magic to damage the adversaries.

You can learn new skills by equipping items. When you completely master these skills then you can use them without equipping items, allowing for almost endless customization options.

Fill your Trance gauge as you tolerate attacks in fight. When completely charged, your hero will enter Trance mode, offering them powerful new abilities.

Do not lose your items. Combine 2 items or pieces of equipment together & make better, powerful items.
