Dark Devotion Review:

Dark Devotion is a 2D action game having RPG elements.

The game is set in 4 different planets, each of the world has their own locations & players can equip many weapons to find the Temple’s secret. Players will face monsters & hard bosses who will stop players from completing their mission.

Players can find new weapons, armors & precious objects which can upgrade their stats. Each object has its own features & stats. It is very crucial to upgrade & use powerful weapons so that players can face harder enemies.

Dark Devotion Gameplay:

Players can move to the right side or left side & can climb ladders. They need to explore, avoid traps, solve puzzles & fight.

They can block foes' attacks using a shield. During the game, players learn spells as well.  

Faith is shown by a bar which is filled by eliminating enemies. Players can activate magical objects like locks in some doors or statues that heal them from infections. Players' armor is enhanced by the blacksmith who resides in a safe place in the temple.

The chest that players open & the objects they find will help in unfolding the game story: it can be a letter, weapon or hint, all will help players on their mission.

For endurance players need to use the right item to cure their wounds or to save themselves from a curse. Players can loot certain objects & other items are scattered in the temple in secret locations.

If players finish a certain act of bravery, then their lord might accept their sacrifice & bless them.

There are multiple routes that players can choose. They are all interconnected. Players can get lost but it might help them find a new secret.

Verdict:

Dark Devotion features dynamic & heavy battle. Although combat is simple but the game will let players face death regularly because enemies are dangerous. There are many weapons, armor, & objects available. The game lets players improve their stats but they will also face harder enemies & bosses so it is a challenging game. The story of the game is immersive. There are multiple paths available so players might get lost but they can find secrets which is a good thing. The game lets players survive which requires using items to heal their wounds. It offers dark environments which seem perfect for the theme of this game. Overall this game is very good.
