Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Review:



Brain Age will use new features of Nintendo Switch such as gyro & infrared camera that are available in Joy-Con controllers. They can provide input & there are other training activities that are returning from previous versions of the game.

Players can challenge others to compete in versus mode which allows 2 players to use separate Joy-Con & they can test how quick they are & how bright memory they have.

Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Story:

Brain Age is also known as Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training allows players to play a series of mini games. These games are developed to enhance player’s mental processes. Brain Age is based on the works of Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, a neuroscientist, & they are used to help in simulating different parts of the brain & it can help players improve their skills.

Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Gameplay:

Players need to finish these activities as fast as possible such as they need to calculate the no. of boxes, birds on screen etc. Also they need to tell the color of the text which shows up on screen. Players receive score based on the accuracy & time taken to complete a challenge.

New brain exercises need players to use the Joy-Con controllers which have IR motion camera & gyro, & use exercises from previous Brain Training games that need a stylus or finger.

Players can test their brain with multiple exercises in various playstyles including holding Switch vertically & using a stylus or finger, or players can use Joy-Con’s infrared motion camera, which can find the shape of fingers.


The game will find out players’ complete brain age score by going through a series of exercises that can test how quick players can input info., how bright is their short term memory & how much they have self-control. Set an alarm so that players do not miss their daily exercises & Switch will let players know even though Switch is in sleep mode.

One player can use a single Joy-Con to play Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training & they can face another player in challenges, or share its result with other players around the globe.
