The Pokemon Company has made changes to trading card game & it will no longer support Fairy Type Pokemon:

A few changes have been implemented in The Pokemon Company’s trading card game. Among these changes which include modifications to features, statistics & more – Fairy Pokemon type will be removed from the game on 21 February 2020.

According to The Pokemon Company announcement, Fairy type Pokemon will be removed from the Sword & Shield series.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Has Been Modified

Other modifications in the trading card game come in the form of resistances & weaknesses. Creatures from Sword & Shield series will have a resistance of -30 instead of -20. Weaknesses are uncharged but matchups have been changed a bit such as water type Pokemon are weak against Lightning instead of Grass etc. These modifications will keep a balance among Pokemon types.

Pokemon Sword & Shield are set to be released on Nintendo Switch in 2019:

Nintendo’s much-anticipated Pokemon games titled Pokemon Sword & Shield are coming to Nintendo Switch later in 2019.

The upcoming games focuses more on graphics & offers a more detailed 3D art style as compared to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, & the game is set in a new location known as Galar. You can find new creatures in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

The new monsters shown in Pokemon Direction presentation are a grass monkey named Grookey, a fire bunny named Scorbunny, & a water lizard named Sobble. Find them in a picture below:
