PS5 Controller design and features are available. This controller seems unique:

Sony has revealed controller for PlayStation 5. They uploaded controller pictures & announced all capabilities of the controller. PS5 controller looks similar to PS4 controller. Also new features have been added to it. Sony’s new controller is named DualSense.

We have more information about PS5 controller called “Dual Sense”. It is larger in size than PS4 controller & have advanced features not available in current controller. The integrated speaker offers a range of sound & the sound is synchronized with haptic feedback. This controller has been tested with Astro’s Playroom which will be available with PS5 for free. Astro’s Playroom is not just a demo & it would take multi-hour to finish. It will contain all systems, & you can learn how to use Dual Sense by playing Astro’s Playroom. All features of Dual Sense are available in this game.

Astro’s Playroom is set up like different parts of computer, with a lobby & cooling station area. One of the section allows you to experience the adaptive triggers, & you can actually feel the tension while controlling your hero who is made up of a large spring. You can learn about the advantages of Dual Sense & different attributes of the system by playing Astro’s Playroom.

Design of Dual Sense is based on PS4 controller’s design with modifications.

One of the objective of PS5 is to deepen the feeling of immersion when you are playing games, & the sense of touch will increase that immersion.

2 new features will be available in PS5 controller. The controllers currently use rumble technology which will be replaced by haptic feedback. The haptic technology will let you truly feel a wider range of feedback so crashing into a wall while driving a vehicle will feel different than making a tackle on the football field. Also the console will allow you to get a sense for a variety of textures when you are running through grass fields or plodding through mud.

The 2nd big change is using adaptive triggers, which can be used on the trigger buttons (L2 / R2). The resistance of the triggers can be programmed. For example, you can feel the sense of touch of drawing a bow & arrow.

Developers can setup the resistance of the L2 / R2 triggers so that you can feel the tactile sensation of drawing a bow & arrow or accelerating an off-road vehicle through rocky land.
