NBA 2K21 is the recent release in
the popular sports game series from 2K Sports, NBA. NBA 2K21 provides
enhancements, visual improvement on Xbox Series X & PS5, & also small changes
are noticeable in gameplay, modes, & MyCareer & MyTeam modes are a bit
improved.
NBA 2K21 vs NBA 2K20: Which game has better Graphics?
Graphically both NBA 2K21 & NBA 2K20 are similar. NBA 2K21 has not changed much when we compare it previous few iterations of the series but enhanced performance is expected graphically on Xbox Series X & PS5.
There are 2 big issues including CPU mishandling clock
management & players drop the basketball awkwardly as soon as the shot
clock expires, are still there. 2K has solved some minor issues though & a
new shot stick feature is added but gameplay wise, NBA 2K21 is similar to
previous iteration.
By taking a video of both NBA
2K21 & NBA 2K20 side by side, it is a bit tricky to spot graphical change.
The series is looking strong since years because of its authenticity to
original NBA but the improvement is not quick for previous few years. Faces of
athlete’s lack in detail & athletes with large bodies are not authentic in video
game & lack the same type of massive presence that they have in their real
life.

A new shot stick feature lets you aim rather than just timing shot, can be executed fully through the right analog stick.
On court, gameplay of NBA 2K21
has been improved slightly. A little better spacing can be observed in the half
court, but still it is easy to close out on 3 point shots. Block shots &
animations made for them, seems improved & basketball moves in an improved
& predictable direction. More enhancements are visible with basketball as
well.
The fresh aim meter feature
assists gamers in online mode in big ways. Some little issues have been fixed,
but a number of big gameplay issues persist. Just shot stick mechanic can
provide a number of gameplay opportunities.
Which game has better modes? NBA 2K21 vs NBA 2K20:
NBA 2K21 launches on Xbox Series
X & PS5 as well. Many fans are looking for cross play feature but NBA does
not provide cross play between different platforms & generation of
consoles.
The game lacks cross play or
cross-gen play but it is possible to send your data from MyTeam mode to MyTeam
mode of next-generation console if you are looking for upgradation in the same
console family. The game will shift your progress & virtual currency to
next-generation if you upgrade. However, data of MyCareer mode won’t be sent to
next-gen because 2K offers enhanced MyCareer for next-generation console. 2K
has provided an upgraded version of MyCareer mode on this generation & on
next-generation it is a very different & improved game.
NBA 2K20 offers all 12 WNBA teams
& feature over 140 players, & Play Now & Season modes are ready to
run. Women athletes in NBA 2K20 has unique animations, gameplay styles &
visuals.
MyPlayer Builders provides better
control than before. New MyPlayer Builders allows players to make decisions on
each feature of your MyPlayer’s potential, including choosing your own
Takeover. It adds 100 archetypes & 50 badges; hence the no. of combinations
is nearly infinite.
