Is NHL 24 coming to PC, Nintendo Switch or Mobile (Android | iOS)?

The latest version of the famous ice hockey video game is set to be launched in autumn. Diehard fans of the NHL would be looking forward to playing the latest title. PC, Nintendo Switch & Mobile owners would be wondering if NHL 24 would be launching on their platform.

It has been more than 15 years since the last NHL game launched on PC. For the Nintendo platform, NHL 06 was the last game that launched in 2006 on GameCube. EA Sports never launched any NHL game on the mobile platform including Android & iOS.

 

Is NHL 24 coming to PC?

No, NHL 24 is not coming to PC. Nevertheless, users have the chance to play NHL 24 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S.

Earlier games including NHL 23 also did not launch on PC. Electronic Arts has not launched any ice hockey game on PC since 2009.

NHL 09 was the last game that launched on PC. Since 2009, EA Sports has not launched any NHL game on the PC platform.

It is recommended to purchase either Xbox Series X/S or PS5 to play NHL 24. You need to spend around $500 to purchase any of the consoles if you do not have one already.

 

Is NHL 24 coming to Nintendo Switch?

The final NHL game that launched on Nintendo consoles was over a decade ago when NHL Slapshot was launched on the Nintendo Wii in 2010. The reason why EA Sports skipped the Nintendo platform is the limitation of the Nintendo hardware. The GPU & Processor of Nintendo Switch is not powerful enough to make realistic graphics or detailed physics-based gameplay. Ice Hockey has complicated simulation, so it would not be possible for EA to develop NHL 24 for the Nintendo Switch.

As users would not be able to play NHL 24 on the Nintendo Switch, we have added a few ice hockey games that are available on the Nintendo console including NHL Slapshot, & Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. However, these games will unlikely satisfy the diehard fans of the NHL.

 

Is NHL 24 coming to Mobile (Android & iOS)?

EA Sports has never launched a single NHL title on the mobile including Android & iOS. Due to the limitation of the mobile hardware, it would not be possible for the developers to make a complex ice hockey game. The GPU & Processor of Mobile is not powerful enough to make realistic graphics or detailed physics-based gameplay.

Mobile gamers will be heartbroken, as the latest game of the National Hockey League is not coming to Android & iOS.
