Jump Force Gameplay:
Jump Force Combat:
Jump Force features 3 versus 3
fights. The game is set in our world so you will probably fight in famous
location for example New York City’s popular Times Square & more.
All the three fighters in your
squads share the same one life bar so inviting other characters into the arena
will help you out in extending combos rather than regenerating lost health. An
awakening meter is also available that acts as a comeback mechanic but little
is known about its precise mechanics. It seems like some characters will have
their iconic transformations for super moves for example Luffy becoming Bounce
Man, Goku going Super Saiyan & more.
You can select an opening
character & the other two fighters to be tagged in at any time during
fight. They will help you out in tag team combos. You can button mash to pull
off combos if you are not an expert fighter. Each face button on the gamepad
can be mashed to pull off different moves.
Other features of the game
include clothing damage. Koji also confirmed that players can play with just
one fighter but it will put you at a disadvantage due to different fighter
matchups.
The developers have done their
best with character modeling to make each fighter feel familiar.
You can continuously just press
one of the attack buttons & hold the arrow keys or nothing to alter what
type of combo you use. You can hold down the attack button to charge up a smash
attack which has the power to absorb opponent strikes to deliver your own
powerful strike.
It seems like the combat system
of Jump Force is very easy. You can also use your tag team members to extend
your combos & deal big damage. If your opponent is blocking each &
every attack then you can throw them or you can also use smash attacks. You
must also watch your meter which provides insight about your 3 main special
moves.
The game does not have the same
level of complexity as a video game like Dragon Ball FighterZ but the gameplay
is simple & suitable for beginners & there are enough techniques for
those who want to learn against those who just mash on the attack button.
Death Note’s Ryuk & Yagami won’t be playable characters:
Jump Forces was announced at E3
2018 & during reveal trailer, Death Note’s Ryuk & Yagami made an
appearance at the end but produce Koji Nakajima confirmed that they won’t be
playable. He said that Death Note’s characters are very strong. They would take
their part in the story & Death Note characters will play their role in how
the manga universes collided with earth.
Sports manga characters are not included:
Nakajima confirmed sports manga
characters will not be included as well because New York City is not suited for
them. They are mostly battle manga fighters. He is sure that there will be
fighters that will surprise everybody.
Camera set behind character:
The camera in Jump Force is
always set behind your fighter & locked on to your opponent. You can use high
speed dashes to get in close very quickly. You can perform side to side dodges
to avoid adversary attacks & block right before an attack to teleport behind
your opponent.
Jump Force Story:
Our world & Jump Force’s
World are colliding for unknown reasons & being a hero your job is
to stop this from happening. The characters from Death Note have to do with the
background, which means that they will play their part in the story.
He also revealed that sports
manga characters won't be making an appearance, because the New York setting
isn't suited for them.
Certain heroes & villains
will take part in the story.
