Free to Play Games for PC | PS4 | Xbox One | Steam

Free to Play Games for PC | PS4 | Xbox One | Steam

Play free to play video games on PC, Steam, PS4 & Xbox One:

Free to play (in short F2P or FtP) video games, also called free to start, are games that offer users complete or certain portion of game content for free.

Developers use several types of free to play business models. The very common is based on the freemium software model. Thus free to play video games are not free completely because sometimes you can play the entire game for free like Fortnite Battle Royale but you must pay for in-game microtranscations.

Microtransactions are another type of revenue generation method in which developers offer you an access to extra content only if you pay. Microtransactions allow you to buy costumes & other customization stuff using in-game currency which do not affect gameplay. You can buy in-game currency using real money. You can also purchase new weapons & other tools that help you out in gameplay.

Another form of revenue generation is to integrate advertisements into the game.

We don’t know what the beta will offer as Ubisoft has not revealed any info. about it but we can assume that users will get a chance to explore Washington D.C. where the game is set, as well as possibly play some of the game’s earliest, low level story content. Our assumption is based on the trailer that Ubisoft has released.

EA cancels another Star Wars Open World Game:

Another Star Wars game has been cancelled according to Kotaku reports. Kotaku says that 3 sources have told them that the development on Open World Star Wars game has stopped. EA Vancouver had been developing this game since October 2017. EA has not confirmed the cancellation of open world Star Wars game yet.

Fans of Star Wars were not that surprised to see the cancellation of another game by EA. However, they were disappointed after hearing this news.
Kotaku report says that the open world Star Wars game was in development at EA Vancouver & it was a reboot of the Star Wars project that Visceral Games was developing on until EA shutdown that studio in 2017. With Visceral closing, Amy Hennig’s Star Wars game was also cancelled in 2017. EA Vancouver copied some of the material of the Visceral’s game, but the game was in development to be an open world title.

Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo crossed 1 Million Downloads

Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo crossed 1 Million Downloads

Resident Evil 2 1-shot demo surpassed 1 million downloads but less than 30 percent players have ended it:

Only 29 percent of fans have been able to finish the 1-Shot demo of Resident Evil 2 within its 30-minute time limit.

You can find more details about Resident Evil 2 Remake 1-shot demo in video below:

The RE 2 Remastered demo has been downloaded by over 1 million players in just 4 days after being launched on Xbox One, PS4 & PC. The number of players who have finished the demo is far less than the reported figure of players who have downloaded the demo. Less than 30 percent of players have finished the complete demo. The no. of downloads in a short period gives us a hint that RE 2 can be the fastest selling game in the series’ history.

We don’t know why only 290,000 players make through the demo end. The demo stops after you complete 30 minutes of playing & we think that if you play through the objectives only, you can end the demo in about 20 minutes so it means that people have spent more time roaming around & watching the new Raccoon City Police Department.

PS5 & next Xbox is expected to use 8GB RAM & 8GB VRAM

PS5 & next Xbox is expected to use 8GB RAM & 8GB VRAM

PS5 & next Xbox is expected to use 8 - 12 of RAM & 8 GB of VRAM:

Xbox & PlayStation both attempt to achieve big hardware jumps with each fresh iteration of their consoles. So what will be the hardware specifications of PS5 & upcoming Xbox? RyZen CPUs? 16 GB of RAM?

PS5 Image

Hellpoint developer, Marc-André Jutras, believes that he is not expecting that high specifications. Talking to GamingBolt, he said that upcoming consoles will use 8-12 GB of RAM because 16 GB RAM is too high & it is beyond the requirement of modern games.

He added that we can expect a good amount of cores & he would not be surprised if the next generation was Ryzen 2600 or something similar because it is inexpensive, stable & offers good amount of cores.

He further said that the upcoming generations will focus on more VRAM to support 4K games because 4K frame buffer requires lot of space. If you end up with a 4K buffer, you will require 4 times the VRAM. He would not be surprised if next PlayStation uses 8GB of RAM & 8GB of VRAM. He thinks that a split of RAM & VRAM in next generation makes a lot of sense.

How do Spirits work in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

How do Spirits work in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate & what are Primary Spirits & Support Spirits:

Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

What are Spirits?

Spirits are the characters with skills that can offer your fighter a boost in fight.

You can boost your fighter’s skills by equipping a fighter with spirits to borrow their special powers.
Spirits are divided into 2 categories called Primary Spirits & Support Spirits.

Primary Spirits increase your fighter’s physical abilities (attack power). Support spirits offer new abilities.

Your character can become extremely powerful, based on the spirit you use.

You can also equip multiple support spirits depending on the primary spirit you equip. Support spirits offer your character special abilities.

You need to make sure which Spirits you can equip to your fighter in order to face the different fight conditions imposed by your rival’s Spirits. Beat opponents & get their Spirits.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to release on 7 December, 2018 on Nintendo Switch. The game features the largest roster so far in the series, with 11 new fighters set to debut. The game will also include 5 new characters through DLC in 2019.

God of War DLC (expansion) is cancelled

God of War DLC (expansion) is cancelled

God of War DLC is cancelled & we are hopeful to see a next major installment in the coming years:

God of War director Corey Barlog announced the cancellation of God of War expansion, although they had plans to deliver a DLC but it was very ambitious for the delivery method.

God of War was highly praised after its release & it also received multiple Game of the Year awards. Speaking to IGN, Barlog said that he had plans to add extra content to the main game but the content would be too big to be considered as expansion. He has interesting ideas but he thinks that it would take more time than a normal DLC would take.

Hopefully we will be able to see a fresh sequel in the God of War series.

Epic Store policy about refunding game & DLC

Epic Store policy about refunding game & DLC

Epic Store new refund policy is about refunding game & DLC:

Epic Store is going in the right direction, & attracting developers & fans with its new policy that is identical to steam. Epic is still working on to develop itself & some of the core features are missing from the store but Epic is working on to fill in the blanks & its new refund policy proves it.

Epic Store Refund Policy

According to new refund policy from Epic Store, gamers can refund any game they bought within 14 days & played it for less than 2 hours. You can also cancel a pre-order & you will receive complete refund or refund a pre-ordered game within 14 days of its launch but you shouldn’t have played it for over 2 hours.

However, the refund policy from Epic is identical to refund policy of Steam. The policy of refunding DLC is as follows: If you get a refund for a game, you can get a refund for all in-app & DLCs you bought from Epic for that game. I don’t know what will be the rules if you want to return only the DLC but not the complete game you purchased it for.

Epic Store also lets fans know about discounts. If a game gets cheaper or goes on sale shortly after you purchase it then you can refund that game for a complete refund & quickly re-order that game but you can only refund within 2 weeks & you should not have played that game for over 2 hours.

Bungie splits up from Activision and owns Destiny

Bungie splits up from its partnership with Activision & owns Destiny:

Bungie has announced that it will split from its partnership with Activision. Bungie signed a 10 year publishing deal with Activision in 2010.

The latest game from Bungie is Destiny 2 which received better reception from critics than its predecessor released in 2014 but it failed to live up to the sales expectations of publisher Activision.

Bungie splits up from its partner Activision & own Destiny

Bungie was the former Halo developer & have now complete control over the Destiny franchise, including the currently released Destiny 2.

The relationship b/w Bungie & Activision often seemed turbulent. Activision looked disappointed with the profit produced by Destiny 2 & they want Destiny 2 to be more accessible while Bungie wants to create an experience that hardcore gamers can enjoy.
