You can enjoy various challenges in V-Rally 4 which includes rallies, rallycross, drifts, buggies & hill climbs, & you can set off on a spectacular journey across every continent in the game.

Ride to the peak of the hill with fast speed cars. The game allows you to collect, upgrade & customize numerous vehicles & face other players with an online multiplayer mode.

V-Rally 4 is developed by Kylotonn Racing Games, a studio creating racing video games. You can play the career mode & a new online mode with your family / friends.

Two players can race directly against one another in a split screen mode which is a new feature not available in Colin McRae Rally. Both games allow you to race in 10 locations. V-Rally 4 adds 11 official World Rally Championship vehicles from the 1997 World Rally Championship, with 4 from WRC & 7 from Formula 2 Kit Cars.


V-Rally 4 Gameplay:

You can play the career mode of V-Rally 4 which starts with a test drive offering you the chance to prove your competence. After passing the test, three different vehicles are offered to you in two different fields. You can upgrade your vehicle at any time in your garage. The game features over fifty vehicle models.

You can engage in five types of competitions in V-Rally 4 which includes rally, v-rally cross, buggy, hill climb, & extreme katana.

You might find the analog stick a bit difficult while turning the vehicle. When you are jumping your buggy, you will experience that finding the right turning angle upon landing is difficult. However, you can achieve it with some practice.

A pop up message appears when you play V-Rally 4 which asks you to reconnect the controller. The solution to solve this problem is simple & it only requires you to set the controller to never turn off automatically if idle.


You can choose a variety of cars which includes the original Mini Cooper S of the 60s to the modern Ford Focus RS RX.

In V-Rally 4 you are allowed to choose any field you wish. You are not restricted by year-long contracts once you choose your field.

In the career mode once you are in Activity Hub screen, you will find out all the available events that are scattered across the map. Each event has an entry fee & a duration. You can enter any available event. You must also pay the crew members which includes engineers, mechanics & agents.

When you begin a 3-day event & 4-day event, you need to consider that both these events are paying well to help your squad.

Also when you enter event you will skip number of days. This mechanism is also important when you are upgrading your vehicles. You can find 3 features in your garage which includes customize, upgrade & technical sheet. When you choose to upgrade your car, you are shown various areas where you can improve your vehicle & also the no. of days needed for that upgrade to unlock.


It is very different to customize your ride when we compare the V-Rally 4 with NFS Payback & Crew 2.

If you stick with one vehicle, then it is a money efficient way of progressing through the story campaign. When it comes to winning tough challenges then it will be difficult if you stick with your old ride instead you can have modern cars which offers high speed.

You can earn cash using multiplayer events or races. You can play online with your friends or play multiplayer races on split screen.

V-Rally 4 Release date:

V-Rally 4 was released on PS4 & Xbox One on 7 September & on PC on 25 September, 2018. V-Rally 4 was launched on Nintendo Switch on 5 February, 2019.


Verdict:

May be the game does not offer definitive rally experience that some fans would have dream for but on the other side, it is a fine tuning rally experience suitable for a great no. of users.
