Sea of Thieves is an adventure video game released on 20 March, 2018 for PS4 & Xbox One. The game is developed by Rare & published by Microsoft Studios.

Sea of Thieves allows you to be the type of thief you want to be. You will follow maps & solve puzzles to discover the big treasure. Hire the expert crew members & set sail in an ocean full of fun & surprises.

Sea of Thieves is a different multiplayer video game that let you live like a free roaming thief in the great oceans full of problems & secrets. It is up to you whether you play this game alone or with your family / friends. You will face opponents but they will either help you or attack you, it all depends on how they respond.

Sea of Thieves Gameplay:

Sea of Thieves is a co-op multiplayer video game playable from 1^st person perspective. Sea of Thieves features cross platform play b/w PC operating windows & Xbox One consoles. Its story is based on a group of characters who will travel & explore an open world while sailing in a ship. You will steer, navigate, use weapons of your ships & carry out other tasks. You will set sail & complete missions, collect wealth & confront against the opponents & other playable characters. This game features a shared adventure that means a group of players will come across each other during the escapade.

The player progression system will include building a reputation at NPC run Trading Companies. All of the companies will let you play with a different playing style & all of them will provide their own missions for playable characters & their crews to chase. As you build your reputation among the trading companies, the prize you receive from following their missions will become more rewarding but the missions will become even tougher.

You will find treasure in island where you will confront the souls of earlier player who are still able to face you. You need to be careful while you are busy in digging treasure because this process takes lots of time.

You will work hard to become the most famous thief in Sea of Thieves. You will complete missions to progress & increase your level. When you reach the end then you will become the renowned thief with your own ship, hideout, captaincy & uniform. Now new missions will be available for you that matches your reputation level which you can start on your own or play it with your friends.

After you become the legendary pirate there will be more to continue & you can customize & upgrade your ship.

There will be useful items that you can buy in Sea of Thieves such as a pet. There will be no loot boxes or pay to win purchases.

Sea of Thieves Release Date:

Sea of Thieves was revealed at Microsoft’s Xbox press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015. Sea of Thieves gameplay trailer was released at E3 2016. The game was set to be released for PC Windows & Xbox One in 2017 but later it was scheduled for 20 March, 2018.

If you own a digital copy of Sea of Thieves you can play it on both Xbox One & PC Windows as the game will be added to Microsoft Xbox Play Anywhere cross buy program.

No PS VR / Split screen in Sea of Thieves:

Sea of Thieves will not release on PS VR. The game will not include any local co-op. Sea of Thieves cross play & low minimum requirements will let you play the game on one PC or multiple PCs & consoles, & you can play the game together without using split screen.
