Epic Store new refund policy is about refunding game & DLC:
Epic Store is going in the right
direction, & attracting developers & fans with its new policy that is identical
to steam. Epic is still working on to develop itself & some of the core
features are missing from the store but Epic is working on to fill in the
blanks & its new refund policy proves it.
According to new refund policy
from Epic Store, gamers can refund any game they bought within 14 days &
played it for less than 2 hours. You can also cancel a pre-order & you will
receive complete refund or refund a pre-ordered game within 14 days of its
launch but you shouldn’t have played it for over 2 hours.
However, the refund policy from
Epic is identical to refund policy of Steam. The policy of refunding DLC is as
follows: If you get a refund for a game, you can get a refund for all in-app
& DLCs you bought from Epic for that game. I don’t know what will be the
rules if you want to return only the DLC but not the complete game you
purchased it for.
Epic Store also lets fans know
about discounts. If a game gets cheaper or goes on sale shortly after you
purchase it then you can refund that game for a complete refund & quickly
re-order that game but you can only refund within 2 weeks & you should not
have played that game for over 2 hours.
Epic Games has announced that Rocket League will be available on Steam:
Epic has confirmed that Rocket League will be available on Steam & fans can purchase it through Steam store. There are no current plans of removing Rocket League from steam. New buyers can get this game from Steam store.
Epic announced that they are in the process of hiring Rocket League developer Psyonix. However, Rocket League is not leaving Steam where the complete PC player base lives now. Nothing is going to change now & Rocket League will be available for buyers on Steam.
Also in the long term Rocket League is shifting to Epic later in 2019 & after that it will continue to be supported for those that bought it through Steam store. According to Epic Games, Rocket League will be supported on Steam for all current buyers. At some point in the future new buyers will have to purchase Rocket League through Epic. It is not clear that Rocket League may continue to be sold on Steam forever.
It is a good and decent move indeed.
