Register before 31 January if you want to get Piranha Plant for free:

Piranha Plant is a new DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which will be available in February, 2019. Piranha will not be added to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighters Pass but early adopters will be able to get it for no cost. However, you have limited time to apply for Piranha.

You must register your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate copy on My Nintendo by 31 January if you want to get Piranha. If you bought the digital copy of the game through Switch Eshop then this process will be done automatically but if you bought a physical copy, then you must register it by pressing the plus button while highlighting the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s icon in the Switch menu, then choosing the My Nintendo Rewards option.

After registering the game, you will get an email including a download code for Piranha to the address linked to your My Nintendo account within 10 days. Redeem the code in the Switch Eshop & the new character will be automatically added to your game once it releases. You have to redeem the code until 11:59 PM PT on 30 June, 2019. If you miss this opportunity, then you can get Piranha as a paid DLC not included in the Fighters Pass.

No release date for Piranha is announced so far but it will release sometime in February, 2019.

I bought Nintendo Switch only to play this game. Many fans want sequel but still we are receiving more excited characters & arenas in the form of DLCs. Fans need to buy those DLCs.
