Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not include a battle royale mode:
The developer of Call of Duty:
Modern Warfare Remastered is not interested in making a battle royale mode for
the game. There is too much content to cover & Infinity Ward wants to focus
on that aspect of the upcoming game.
Multiplayer designer director, Joe
Cecot, told IGN that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Black Ops 4 are
different vibes, Infinity Ward is focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the
game & they love to play battle royale. They are interested in large number
of player gatherings but now they want to focus to provide core multiplayer
experience.
It looks like we will not be able
to play a battle royale mode this year. Joe explains that they are focusing on
the upcoming game’s authentic & gritty, realistic weaponry & it will
offer a changed experience. They want to provide pure experience that Modern
Warfare provided.
Right now Modern Warfare’s
biggest player count can be found in Ground War, which allows up to forty
players. When Modern Warfare releases this year, the idea is to allow Ground
War to allow over hundred players in one match. The upcoming Gunfight mode is
the upcoming game’s smallest player count, allowing two versus two fights based
on ability & tactical positioning.
