Phoenix Point Review:

Phoenix Point is a turn based strategy game developed & published by Snapshot Games.

Phoenix Point Story:

Players have to save the world from alien invasions who have the ability to mutate & present stronger challenges to whole humanity. They need to develop a strategy about how to align with a particular human faction & how to use scarce resources in their journey to save the world.  


Phoenix Point Gameplay:

The game features turn-based tactical moves.

Players can deploy groups of 4 to 16 fighters. Players have to take part in fighting bus-sized, boss aliens.


Players need to locate & get resources that are scarce & are very important for their cause. They have to deal with NPCs in a way that is favorable to their cause.

Alien Mutations:

Aliens can use body parts & aliens can change in size as well. Aliens can mutate such as combining human & animal body parts for example an alien may have some parts of a lion & some human body parts.

When aliens get victories they can mutate in a way to use captured weapons. When aliens are defeated they mutate in a way to develop defensive abilities against certain types of weapons that will present even more challenges to players.

Competing factions:

The game features AI-controlled human factions that includes: The Disciples of Anu, New Jericho & Synedrion. These factions have a control over planet’s resources. Players can ally with only one of the major factions that is favorable to their cause.

Geoscape:

In order to make tactical decisions in the game, players can use a system known as a Geoscape that can help them to deploy teams of fighters to a particular area that has aliens’ presence or is significant in some other way.

Phoenix Point Release Date:

Phoenix Point is released on PC Windows & Mac on 3 December 2019. It will launch on Xbox One & PS4 in 2020.
