Graphically both NBA 2K21 & NBA 2K20 are similar. NBA 2K21 has not changed much when we compare it previous few iterations of the series but enhanced performance is expected graphically on Xbox Series X & PS5.

There are 2 big issues including CPU mishandling clock management & players drop the basketball awkwardly as soon as the shot clock expires, are still there. 2K has solved some minor issues though & a new shot stick feature is added but gameplay wise, NBA 2K21 is similar to previous iteration.

By taking a video of both NBA 2K21 & NBA 2K20 side by side, it is a bit tricky to spot graphical change. The series is looking strong since years because of its authenticity to original NBA but the improvement is not quick for previous few years. Faces of athlete’s lack in detail & athletes with large bodies are not authentic in video game & lack the same type of massive presence that they have in their real life.

On court, gameplay of NBA 2K21 has been improved slightly. A little better spacing can be observed in the half court, but still it is easy to close out on 3 point shots. Block shots & animations made for them, seems improved & basketball moves in an improved & predictable direction. More enhancements are visible with basketball as well.
