Hitman video games are
action-adventure stealth-based games. The series actually started with Hitman:
Codename 47 video game in the year 2000. Then came the second major installment
titled Hitman 2: Silent Assassin video game in the year 2002. Then came Hitman:
Contracts video game in the year 2004. Then came fourth major installment
titled Hitman: Bloud Money video game in the year 2006. A fifth major installment
in the series, Hitman: Absolution video game, was released on 20 November 2012,
followed by a spin-off, Hitman: Sniper Challenge video game, launched for
Windows, PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360. Two other spin-offs, Hitman Go video
game in 2014 & Hitman: Sniper video game in 2015, were launched for mobile phone
devices.
The sixth major installment in the
video game series, titled simply Hitman, was launched episodically, from March
to December 2016. A sequel, Hitman 2, was seventh major installment launched in
November 2018. The eighth major game installment in the series titled Hitman 3,
launches in January 2021. The sixth, seventh & eighth major installment
released in 2016, 2018 & 2021 are collectively called as the World of
Assassination trilogy.
Hitman 2 is played from a
third-person perspective that was released on November 9, 2018. Hitman 2 gameplay
is just like Hitman video game released in 2016. Player take control of Agent
47, who is actually a contract assassin working for the International Contract
Agency (ICA). Agent 47 travels to different places throughout the world to
eliminate dangerous criminals. Hitman 2 was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox
One, Microsoft Windows PC, Google Stadia. Hitman 3 is similar to Hitman 2 in
gameplay. Hitman 3 releases for Microsoft Windows PC, PlayStation 4,
PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Google Stadia, &
Nintendo Switch on 20 January 2021.
Just like 2016’s Hitman &
2018’s Hitman 2; Hitman 3 is a third-person stealth video game. Player controls
assassin Agent 47. Players can import maps, levels & their progress from
Hitman & Hitman 2 video games into Hitman 3 video game.
Hitman 3 supports PlayStation VR
compatibility on the PlayStation 4, with support for PlayStation 5 through
backward compatibility. The VR functionality also retroactively apply to levels
imported from Hitman & Hitman 2. What you need is PlayStation VR &
PlayStation Camera for VR. Unlike Hitman 2, in Hitman 3, there is no
multiplayer mode, with Sniper Assassin available in single player mode, &
Ghost Mode that was present in Hitman 2 is removed from Hitman 3.
