Will The Red Solstice 2 Survivors release on Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One?

Usually, games like The Red Solstice 2 Survivors that can be seen from the top launch on PC. But many top-down perspective games also release on consoles too. We know that The Red Solstice 2 Survivors will release on PC on 17 June, 2021 but will it launch on other platforms as well? The Red Solstice 2 Survivors is not coming to other platforms including Xbox Series X / S & Xbox One at release but later it might be coming to other platforms as well.

 

Why are games released on a single platform?

Games could be exclusive to a specific console, or other reasons include budget, time, etc. Many games only launch on a single platform because they are in partnership with the console makers. Budget is a very important reason behind the release of games on a single or a few platforms first. Games cost lots of money in development & hence the developers try to speed up the process & finish the game as early as possible. After selling copies of the game, they can use that money to build the game for other platforms too. Making games for multiple platforms needs hard work & time. It is always easy to release a game on a single platform & then develop the same game for other platforms. Every platform has their own requirements such as PC games should be optimized for mouse & keyboard controls while console games need controller support.

After reading the bio of the developers, I just found that Ironward is a small development team & they could possibly develop the game for just one platform at a time. The Red Solstice 2 Survivors might release on more platforms in future. The first part of the series The Red Solstice released on PC in 2010, then the spin-off Solstice Chronicles MIA released on PC in 2017 & later on Switch in 2019. The Red Solstice 2 Survivors is the third game in the series & it is released in 2021. If Solstice Chronicles MIA can launch on console, then The Red Solstice 2 Survivors might release on consoles too including Xbox Series X / S & Xbox One. However, there is no confirmed news about the release of The Red Solstice 2 Survivors on Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One.

 

Conclusion:

The Red Solstice 2 Survivors might launch on Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One because Solstice Chronicles MIA made its way to the Nintendo Switch in 2019 after originally launching on PC in 2017.
