You were not able to play Dead
Island with your buddies until you had finished a few hours of gameplay alone
before you were able to see the Co-op option, & we are not sure if we have
to go through the same tedious procedure to play Co-op in Dead Island 2.
Players of Dead Island were able to play as the same heroes. However, the
important questions are related to Cross Platform Multiplayer & Cross Save.
It is not yet confirmed whether players can play with their buddies on
different platforms or how saved data made in Co-op would or won’t be shared to
& from your solo gameplay.
