PS5 & next Xbox is expected to use 8GB RAM & 8GB VRAM

PS5 & next Xbox is expected to use 8 - 12 of RAM & 8 GB of VRAM:

Xbox & PlayStation both attempt to achieve big hardware jumps with each fresh iteration of their consoles. So what will be the hardware specifications of PS5 & upcoming Xbox? RyZen CPUs? 16 GB of RAM?

Hellpoint developer, Marc-André Jutras, believes that he is not expecting that high specifications. Talking to GamingBolt, he said that upcoming consoles will use 8-12 GB of RAM because 16 GB RAM is too high & it is beyond the requirement of modern games.

He added that we can expect a good amount of cores & he would not be surprised if the next generation was Ryzen 2600 or something similar because it is inexpensive, stable & offers good amount of cores.

He further said that the upcoming generations will focus on more VRAM to support 4K games because 4K frame buffer requires lot of space. If you end up with a 4K buffer, you will require 4 times the VRAM. He would not be surprised if next PlayStation uses 8GB of RAM & 8GB of VRAM. He thinks that a split of RAM & VRAM in next generation makes a lot of sense.
