Encased Review:
Encased is a post-apocalyptic
role playing game playable from isometric perspective. The game is set in an
alternative reality & it is focused on a strange structure known as the Dome.
Precious objects are hidden inside the Dome but you will have to deal with AI
systems, anomalies & traps.
You can build your character at the start & choose appearance, features & abilities. Later you will
discover yourself in an open world, & the gameplay can be watched from an
isometric view. The game will let you discover 170 sectors. During gameplay you will complete quests, both main missions
& side missions. Side missions are also important because it will help you
in gaining experience points which can be used to build your hero.
Encased Story:
The C.R.O.N.U.S. Foundation is an
international organization & it has gained a big influence among the
leaders of this world through findings, & they are responsible for the
research of the Dome.
C.R.O.N.U.S. Foundation’s teams
are researching the Dome & they do not share their work with others.
Encased Gameplay:
During gameplay you will make a
squad of heroes. You can just control your hero directly. However, during
turn based combats, you can control the strategies & general behavior of allies but it will need action points. AI will control specific actions of the friends.
Thus combats will take an unpredicted turn. The battle is expanded using
special abilities & different types of rounds, along with the option of
using elements in the surroundings as covers. There are many weapons to choose
from, & the weapons’ performance can be improved or you can disassemble
them into parts.
If you perform bad deeds, then it
will affect your image. Inside the Dome there are people & if you commit
bad deeds then you will be punished & the punishments include fine, imprisonment,
& death.
The game provides only a single
player campaign.
