Analogue Pocket Review:

More information is announced about Analogue Pocket. It uses a 4300 mAh battery that can provide a play time of 6 to 10 hours (or sleep time of over 10 hours). It can enter sleep mode & awakened using a power button. This will let you pause or resume games whenever you want.

The upcoming handheld console includes original display modes that replicate the features of various original consoles. It will give you a feeling of playing different handheld console games like Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color as if you are playing games on original device, while keeping the aspect ratio & green glow intact.

You can dock The Analogue Pocket into a separate hardware that lets you play your favorite games on big screen “TV”. The Dock is able to support up to 4 controllers using Bluetooth interface, 2.4 GHz wireless connection & USB cable.

New gadgets will also launch with Analogue Pocket such as a hard transparent case, a tempered glass screen protector, a USB-C power supply, & cartridge adapter for Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, & Atari Lynx. The upcoming handheld console’s screen is 3 times thicker than most mobiles.

Since its announcement, both handheld console & dock have been altered a bit. Analogue Pocket’s start, select & home buttons have been shifted to the low center of the device. The USB cable port of Dock has been adjusted to enhance the stability of the Analogue device.

The device uses 2 FPGAs that are programmed to run classic games of popular portable consoles, mimicking the sweetness of the original hardware. The outcome is the true gaming experience very similar to classic consoles. Analogue Pocket features a 3.5-inch LCD screen with resolution of up to 1600x1440 that offers a higher resolution 615 ppi. Those who have played games on Game Boy, might know that the resolution of Analogue Pocket is 10 times higher than Game Boy display. Also you can enjoy color rendering & brightness.

The handheld device can go great with a new gadget known as Analogue Dock which won’t be included in the box & can be purchased separately. Dock will have HDMI out & Bluetooth / wireless controller support & up to 4 gamers will be able to play games together on a single device, & it will convert your Pocket into a console that you can use at home & plugged into a large screen “TV”. 2 standard USB ports will be included in the dock for wired controllers, & it can be hooked to any 8Bitdo’s controller via Bluetooth interface.
