Comparison: Similarities & differences of Far Cry 6 vs Far Cry 5 vs New Dawn:
Far Cry 6 is very different from Far Cry 5, & it seems like a good move from Ubisoft. The sequel is making good changes to avoid the issues that Far Cry 5 had regarding building world & story impact.
Why Far Cry 6 is better than Far Cry 5 & New Dawn:
Reason: Far Cry 5 & New Dawn did not take story elements or atmosphere seriously.
Far Cry series is popular for cruel
antagonists, enjoying beautiful locations, & the game is about surviving in
hostile environment. The series focuses more on above aspects especially from Far
Cry 3 & beyond, & may be in previous Far Cry games too. Far Cry 5 was
different in this regard because it lacked the atmospheric elements of previous
games of the series. Even though Far Cry 5 had all the staples but could not
offer the same kind of original gameplay that Far Cry series is known for. Far
Cry 5 did not consider the story elements or atmosphere that seriously. Things
are however different in sixth entry which apparently is providing a very
interesting story & atmosphere.
New settings of Far Cry 6 can prove to be the real game changer:
Far Cry 6 is set in a new location
& its story is not related to Far Cry 5. Take the role of an improvised leader
of resistance in sixth part, & kill Tyrant & his son to save country
Yara. The tyrant can even kill his nation to forge his heaven so beware of him.
Far Cry 6 is once again set in a
tropical location. Esperanza is the capital city of Yara, & it will be the
only urban location in the game series, which will play uniquely in Far Cry
titles. Verticality is added to Far Cry 6. Running across rooftops, using back
alleys, & battling against some of the hardest enemies in this setting, can
make things different.
Far Cry 6 focuses more on resistance as compared to Far Cry 5 & New Dawn:
Far Cry 6 is once again focusing
on resistance & uprising like Far Cry 5, but in totally unique ways. Far
Cry 5 did not focus much on story & it favored gameplay. But it seems that
the sequel is focusing more on game world & narrative.
Giancarlo Esposito is the main
antagonist of Far Cry 6 & it is apparent from here that the sixth game is taking
resistance seriously than the prequel.
The first trailer of the game showcases main antagonist, ruler Anton & his son Diego.
Unlike Far Cry 5, protagonist of Far Cry 6 can talk:
Dani Rojas is playing the main
hero role in Far Cry 6. He is an unwilling revolutionary & will apparently be
pushed into fight. His narrative is more exciting than other main heroes in Far
Cry series. His voice acting & motivations will bring life into the series story,
especially since quiet hero of Far Cry 5 made the narrative less impactful than
earlier games of Far Cry series.
Buddies feature from Far Cry 5 New Dawn are returning in Far Cry 6:
One of the things taken from Far
Cry 5 is buddies who can help you in fighting. One of the buddies is wiener dog
using a wheelchair & he looks dangerous.
