Cross Play gives players of different
platforms an opportunity to play matches together. Cross Play allows many
players to connect together from whatever platforms they are using. PlayStation
players can join Xbox, Nintendo & PC players if all platforms support Cross
Play.

What is Cross Save?
Cross Save will make an internet
account that contains your statistics such as saved games & items in your
inventory. Your game data is automatically uploaded to this account with the
help of the internet. So, if you switch to a new platform, then your progress
& stuff will be transferred seamlessly to the new account & your
gameplay will resume.
Can I Use Cross Save / Cross Progression in The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes?

What is Cross Gen Play?
Cross Gen Play only allows users
of both gen of the same platform family to play together. For example: PS4

platform via Cross Gen Save.
