Shadow of the Tomb Raider is developed by Eidos-Montréal, Crystal Dynamics & Nixxes software, & published by Square Enix. It is playable from third person perspective.

Hunt animals & craft things using the resources gathered, solve puzzles & explore optional tombs like in earlier games in the series. Shadow of the Tomb Raider features more tombs than the earlier games. You have the option to change your gameplay experience as exploration, puzzles & battles have their own difficulty settings. Hear the background conversation of the people using a new immersion mode.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Story:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is set two months after the events of its prequel. It follows the story of Lara Croft once again as she ventures through Mesoamerica & South America to the legendary city Paititi, combating the paramilitary organization Trinity & trying to stop a Mayan apocalypse she has released. You can control Lara to explore the surroundings, & fight against rivals with weapons & stealth. Explore semi-open hubs & while passing through these hubs you can raid challenging tomb to uncover new rewards, finish side quests, & search for resources which can be used to craft valuable items. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is more about platforming, battle & exploration.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay:

Play this game from third person perspective where you take the role of Lara Croft as she explores location across the continent of South America. Now you can explore the game’s hub which is the largest in the Tomb Raider series & which also includes the hidden city of Paititi. You can engage in side missions while advancing through the main story campaign & learn about Paititi which offers a wider experience. Trade your resources using a new barter system, retrieve items & weapons from the environment. The game has changed a lot & there are new changes introduced which makes it different from Rise of the Tomb Raider. You can now hold your breath while swimming underwater. Lara possesses a new ability to move down a cliff using a rope. Use stealth throughout the game, which allows you to disengage from fight when you escape from foes without getting their attention. Eidos Montreal has added new combat features in this game including swimming & grappling.

Rise of the Tomb Raiders is focused on how Lara learns to explore the environment & the sequel is focused on how she masters her skills. Now you can play with an advanced form of Lara. Becoming the Tomb Raider means becoming more responsible with the use of archaeology. This game is about mastering the archaeology which is culture, history & language, & it involves people. Face the consequences in the form of destruction which will happen when you claim a key artefact.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider copies the solid combat system from earlier games with new extra techniques, however, in previous games the enemies you fought were far too bland. The developers kick out the boring mercenaries & include enemies actually worth combating. They have improved the combat as some fans had suggested to upgrade the melee combat system.
