NBA 2K19 is a basketball simulation game developed by Visual Concepts & published by 2K Sports. NBA 2K19 is the twentieth installment in the franchise & the successor to NBA 2K18. 

NBA 2K team is praised for its stunning graphics & gameplay to groundbreaking game modes. NBA 2K19 continued to push limits as it brought gaming one step closer to real life basketball excitement.

NBA 2K19 Release date:

NBA 2K19 was released for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC Windows & iOS on 11 September, 2018. Those who pre-ordered NBA 2K19 received it on 7 September.

NBA 2K19 Gameplay:

NBA 2K19 has a new shot meter. 2K gameplay producer Mike Wang tweeted out a poll, asked people which shot meter from NBA 2K games they had liked the most.

On ball defense on the perimeter was better in NBA Live 18 than NBA 2K18. So, players could use their body more effectively to block a ball handler’s path and poke the dribble away and this aspect is much improved in NBA 2K19.

Low post gameplay is very good both on defense and offense especially the low post balance in NBA 2K19.  

Passing feels cleaner and crisper in NBA 2K19.

Blow by animation is tuned down in NBA 2K19. In NBA 2K18 the blow by animations made it almost impossible on the perimeter to defend good players. 

Out of bounds line is more sensitive in NBA 2K19. In 2K18 an invisible wall seemed to keep offensive players in bounds.  So, that is a big improvement in NBA 2K19. 

Much better ball security in the lane in NBA 2K19 compared to the previous game.

Ball tangibility overall is much better in NBA 2K19. Dribblers have to be more aware of defenders. Ball handlers can anticipate defenders reaching and chain together dribble moves to create space and blocked shots are plausible too in NBA 2K19.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Details:

You can make your first MyPlayer card, & play with LeBron, Kobe, & the other characters that you have gathered in various modes. You can play Unlimited mode for the first time, which let you select any five cards from your deck & compete against other online gamers.

2K Games released new details about MyTeam mode in August. You can play MyTeam Unlimited which is the first addition to this mode. MyTeam Unlimited can let you select a lineup of 13 characters without restrictions. The game uses a ladder system that determines rewards collected from the MyTeam Unlimited mode, where you must win up to 12 matches.

One more new mode is Triple Threat, which allows you to play single player, 3 vs 3 mode, where you must beat 30 teams in a row.

Finally, there are now Daily Trials in game’s MyTeam, where you will be assigned new tasks every day after logging in, like winning a certain number of matches. Amethyst & Diamond grade cards will be available much earlier in 2018, while Amethyst card is available from the first day.

NBA 2K19 MyCareer:

You can play MyCareer mode which let you enjoy a new story & you can begin your journey from China to the G League & finally the NBA. You can make a name for yourself in MyCareer story campaign.

I think there won’t be any jersey changes required for Giannis, unless he decides on leaving the Milwaukee Bucks at the last second.

I thought it was nice to watch James Harden in the trailer after he was removed for just one year from the NBA Live cover.

NBA Live cover athletes were not usually featured in NBA 2K trailers. It would not surprise me if Harden is already chosen as the cover star for NBA 2K20 standard edition. I was hoping to see Allen Iverson return as the cover athlete of the special edition.
