Comparison and changes in Borderlands 3 vs Borderlands 2 in gameplay, story etc:

The official account of Borderlands made a tweet on 1 April that Borderlands 3 is set to release on 13 September, & teased a Gold Weapon Skins Pack for pre-orders. This tweet was later deleted but it is still visible using Archive.org so there is a confirmation that it was there earlier.  They put a second tweet which made a second mention of a Gold Weapons Skins pack, & yet another tweet included a video that showed the Epic Store logo. They may be trolling fans because they made the tweets on 1 April & the leaks suggest that they are not accidentally done. However, it shows a 13 September launch date for Borderlands 3. We will know more details about Borderlands 3 at the official reveal event on 3 April.
It will offer gamers the opportunity to visit new planets. Each world in the game will offer unique environments & adversaries.
Players can also use the new feature called level sync which makes co-operative play even more friendly by letting gamers of any level to join up in co-op to beat opponents together. Players that are playing Borderlands 3 locally in split screen or online can take advantage of this feature.

Many changes have been made in Borderlands series traditional formula in order to create Borderlands 3. Read my review about a most common change, & how it can affect the gameplay.
All of the Borderlands games can be played solo or in a squad. The latest game in the Borderlands series offers players more freedom over how their Vault Hunter can be built than ever before, allowing players to better build a hero for a solo run through the campaign.
Your character in Borderlands 3 can choose from 3 skill trees, each of them can carry different skills & perks. In the opening 3 games, every Vault Hunter unlocked a unique skill first, & then all 3 skill trees build upon this skill.
The earlier Borderlands games do not alter how Maya plays because she must unlock Phase Lock first, & since all her abilities build on this one, Maya is a support character. She can use her Phase Lock as a powerful damage dealer, but it does not alter her objective on the warzone, which is to disrupt the movements of the most powerful rival so that she & other characters can focus on the little fry or more simply combine their resources to wipeout one main danger. All of the skill trees are based on one skill, they all end up in one class & carries the strengths & weaknesses that such a class needs. This is best for when players are playing as part of a squad where everyone requires a role & teammates can account for any weaknesses they might have but if you play alone then it will be much harder to play.
The upcoming games does not follow this concept. It does not have a single unique skill that all 3 skill trees build upon, but now players can have 3 different skills – one for each of their 3 skill trees & then one unique attribute that separates them from the other heroes. It means that the 3 skill trees of each character in this game are made around different skills, allowing each one to have 3 different gameplay styles.
