Find the unknown side in this octagon?

Answer 1:

This is a logical math riddle. The number on the long (straight) side of the octagon is the multiplication of 2 numbers on both (short) bends connected to it such as 60 is the multiplication of 6 & 10. Across complete octagon, the same logic applies. Hence it is very easy to find out the unknown (?) which is the multiplication 10 & 90. Hence unknown is 90.

Answer 1 = 90

Solve the following maths puzzle:

This is a logic math puzzle. We have a table of 3 rows & 3 columns. Last entry of the table is unknown & we need to find it. However, finding the unknown will require analyzing the remaining entries.

First Row:

Looking at the first column, we find that its value is equal to the multiplication of entries in the second & third columns. Hence we obtain 24 by multiplication of 8 & 3.

Second Row:

We find that value of the first column is equal to the multiplication of entries in the second & third columns. So 9 = 3 x 3

Third Row:

We can logically assume that value of the first column is equal to the multiplication of entries in the second & third columns. However, entry in the third column is unknown but we know the remaining entries in the row. We can solve as:

18 = 3 x Unknown

Dividing both sides by 3, we get:

18 / 3 = Unknown

Answer = 6

Hence the required value is 6.

It is a logic math riddle. Such questions are always interesting but need logic instead of using math formulas. In order to solve logic puzzles, you need to see question from every angle because such questions are never straight forward. 

People usually get confused when they are asked to solve logic puzzle. They might be good mathematicians but might not be able to answer analytical questions.

The question we are going to answer needs logic but it is a very simple question. We need to replace "+" sign with "X", & split double figure numbers & add them. 

We are asked to solve the following question:

11 + 11 = 4

12 + 12 = 9

13 + 13 = ?

The third equation has an unknown. We need to find it.

So first we will replace "+" sign with "X", we get

11 X 11 = 4

12 X 12 = 9

13 + 13 = Unknown

Now we need to split double figure number into single figure & add them.

(1+1) X (1+1) = 4

(1+2) X (1+2) = 9

(1+3) X (1+3) = ?

2 X 2 = 4; L.H.S = R.H.S

3 X 3 = 9; L.H.S = R.H.S

4 X 4 = Unknown

16 = Unknown

Hence, the unknown number is equal to 16
