Pros and cons of Persona 5 (P5) Scramble The Phantom Strikers – Benefits:
Persona 5 Strikers is the sequel
of Persona 5 Royal, & it launches on 23 February, 2021 on Switch, PC &
PS4. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is the first game that changes
its genre to RPG. P5 Strikers has a story & the game is set 6 months after P5
events.
In Strikers, your objective is to
defeat a horde of enemies at once. After the events of P5 Royal, your objective
is to solve the riddle behind new change of heart cases occurring in Japan.
Joker is accompanied by Baton
Pass.
New Jails give you chance to
switch between game characters at any time you want. There are multiple
playable characters available so it is up to you how you complete the game.
Now you can use button mashing in
real time combat with classic Persona 5’s turn-based battle. 3 playable
characters can be chosen in this game. Hack & slash battle is taken from
Dynasty Warriors & it is combined with RPG battle from P5. You can enjoy
real time battle instead of turn-based battle. When deciding abilities from the
menu, P5 Strikers will pause, & will allow you to control tactical position
of heroes. You can play as every hero of Phantom Thieves both in & out of
battle.
Team mates can acquire special
moves that you can perform.
If your team mate is able to fill
the meter of “Showtime” bar by defeating enemies, then they can perform a
destructible Showtime attack.
The game lets you collect
Personas that are dropped when enemies are beaten, & they can be fused in
the Velvet Room.
The Band system of P5 Strikers
allows players to access & update crucial perks, by interacting with
special points that can be collected after winning fights. When finishing
narrative campaign, you can unlock more abilities.
The game allows you to equip
multiple personas, which are dropped randomly or you can acquire them after
finishing mini bosses. These Personas can be carried to Velvet Room, which can
be used to create new Personas. Instead of Persona 5 Confidant system, you can
use Requests, which are side quests, & you can use the Band system, where
improvements in level can provide you perks such as stats improvements. The
Band levels can be enhanced by interacting with team mates, beating enemies,
& achieving milestones during the game.
You can create an active team of
4 playable characters at maximum, but Joker can’t be removed from it. When you
are not involved in battle, active team members can be interchanged with the
standby team mates. Exploring dungeons is similar to P5 Royal, which allows you
to use stealth to avoid fights or puzzles can be solved for progression. Third
Eye returns from P5, which can help you in highlighting opponents’ strength
& interactive objects. Time will not progress when you leave dungeons,
& there is no sufferings in leaving dungeons.
Battles start when you approach
opponent, or you can perform a surprise attack to achieve an advantage against
an unnoticed foe. Use real time combat system but there is an option to use command-based
skills menu where skills of Persona can be used. If team can produce a critical
damage or can damage weaken enemy, then the enemy will be knocked out for an
“All-Out Attack” which produces severe damage. If every group member is knocked
out in battle, then game will end.
I would like to see long ending
in P5 Strikers that felt somewhat rushed in P5. In P5, some parts of the
narrative remained unresolved so I would like to see more details in the last
chapter of the game. This is the only problem I noticed in P5.
