Is The Medium Coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch or Xbox One?

A psychological horror game that blends the real & spirit worlds, & let you cross through them at the same time.

It seems like the Medium will never launch on PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch but it is slated to release on PS5. The Medium was originally released on Xbox Series X/S & PC. It was a timed exclusive title of Microsoft & now after a gap since initial release, it is confirmed to launch on PS5 on 3 September, 2021.

The Medium released on Xbox Series X/S, & not on Xbox One, which is the reason why it is not launching on PS4. The Medium uses ray-tracing technology for in-game worlds, & it needs a powerful system for running the game graphics.

A powerful game like The Medium is only supported by next-gen systems. So, it seems like The Medium will never launch on PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch.

The Medium Description:

The screen will split in half when you are crossing both worlds. One side of the screen will show the real world while another side is reserved for your soul that will leave your body behind. Travelling through both worlds will help you in cracking puzzles. Your psychic skills can help you in fighting against aggressive creatures & you can refill them by using the energy. Gameplay can be seen from a third person perspective. It is about the story of a girl, who is able to talk to the dead. She can journey through the spirit world to crack puzzles, evade creatures, & assist the dead.

Mirrors can be used in the game to enter the spirit world. Spirit energy will help you in avoiding creatures.

Cracking the puzzle in one world will unlock the forward way in another.

Discover small, highly detailed worlds, where you can gather objects & crack puzzles. The doors are usually locked so you need to unlock them. Puzzles in the game are usually easy, & your inventory just contains a few objects. Moving through the game kinda feels slow. You will find yourself in very risky circumstances but this game does not include any gun fight or serious action because you are totally defenseless.

Both worlds look the same because they have the same layout but different atmosphere. Both worlds are a bit different from each other, such as you must find out a way to avoid an object in one world to advance in the story in both worlds.
