Is Final Fantasy XIV Online Endwalker Coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S?
There is no obstacle in launching
FFI4 on Xbox One, & Xbox Series X/S, but still things look difficult for
the development team to manage right now. FFIV Online: Endwalker is set to be
released on PS4, PS5, & PC on 23 November, 2021.
Final Fantasy XIV Director, Naoki
Yoshida said that the team is too busy developing Final Fantasy IX: Online
Endwalker. They can only proceed step wise. After the development of Endwalker
for PS4, PS5, & PC, the team will look forward to launching Final Fantasy
XIV Online on other platforms (such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S & Nintendo
Switch). FFXIV is not coming soon on missing platforms. The development team
needs free time to start making FF14 for other platforms & it will not
happen soon. The expansions including Endwalker will launch on other platforms after the base game.
It is confirmed that Final
Fantasy XIV Online will have Cross Platform Multiplayer support right from the
beginning. In an interview with GameSpot, Naoki said that he was busy in
conversations with Nintendo, Google & Xbox teams about the availability of
Cross Play on all of these platforms before FFXIV development could kick off.
