Digimon Survive is a single player game. Multiplayer mode for Digimon Survive is not announced. Digimon Survive is story focused, & the core of this game is its single player story campaign.

Digimon Survive Story:

The hero of the game, who studies in class 8, has entered another world. He soon confronts a digimon & together they start an adventure to discover a way to get back to their planet.

 

Digimon Survive Gameplay:

A strategic point & click role-playing game, which focuses on endurance. This game is actually a visual novel that takes place in the world of Japanese animated series. 

This game merges the formula of strategic role-playing games with elements from other genres. While playing the game, players will discover sites to get hidden objects that will help them in progressing through the gameplay. The narrative & communications b/w the heroes are offered in the form of text fields like visual novels. The narrative progresses based on the choices of users. In addition, decisions affect the evolutions of the pets.

Battles are set on the maps split into fields, & uses a turn-based system. Each action such as evolution will deplete the specific no. of energy points, so for triumph, a proper management of this resource is needed.

Similar to gameplay, graphics of the game merge different elements. During discovery & battle, Digimon Survive uses 3D visuals. Narrative events & conversation are offered from the 2D perspective. The entire planet is focused on Japanese animations.
