The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Story:
The game is set in the Erebonian
Empire where its happenings simultaneously intertwine with the happenings of
The Legend of Heroes: Zero/Ao duology.
Erebonia is a wealthy empire dealing
with severe difficulties. Player is a member of a group of best high school
students & is sent to different cities and villages of the empire in order to
battle against monsters & solve other immense problems. Player has to
explore large number of towns & meet many characters to talk to. Player can
also complete many side quests during the course of the game.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Gameplay:
The game’s gameplay is similar to
the previous releases in the Legend of Heroes series. The game also contains
some new feature such as the "Tactical Link System", which let
players to use three different types of link attacks & providing extra damage
and provides other benefits as well. Tactical Links becomes more useful as the
story progress and characters level up their "Link Levels" with other
characters. The game also features 360-degree camera control, fully 3D
character models and voiced conversations that take place between characters during
the course of the game.
Verdict:
This is a big game without any
doubt in my mind. The game becomes even more mouthwatering, by all that dry,
bready padding. The games conversations aspects are very interesting as
everyone feels the need to chime in after every line. The main thing I loved
was to revisit the same multi-floor dungeon many times. It took me 65 hours to
beat Trails of Cold Steel. I enjoyed every bit of the game.
