Guilty Gear Strive offers cross-gen play instead of cross play & it does not support cross platform save:
Guilty Gear Strive does not support cross platform play but instead players will be able to play cross-gen play so players of PS5 will be able to play together with PS4 players. However, PS5 or PS4 players will not be able to play with PC players. Cross Platform Play is better than cross gen play because in cross play, players are able to play the game with any platform players such as PlayStation players can play with Xbox & PC players. Cross-generation play is different from cross platform play because in former, PS5 players can only play with previous generation, i.e., PS4, Xbox Series X / S players can only play with Xbox One, & for PC cross-gen play does not exist but instead players of Epic Games can play with players of Steam. Both Epic Games & Steam are big stores selling PC games, & some games allow players to enjoy cross play between Epic & Steam games.
Guilty Gear Strive will be a Steam exclusive game at launch & it will not launch for Xbox console so you can only enjoy cross-gen play between PS5 & PS4.
Arc System Works have confirmed
that Guilty Gear Strive will not offer cross platform play.
Guilty Gear Strive does not offer Cross Platform Save:
Cross Save is also known as cross
progression. Cross Save creates an online account for players that store game
progress & inventory items. If players start a game on one platform, then
they can continue it on another platform using cross save.
Unfortunately, Guilty Gear Strive
does not support cross save.

Guilty Gear Strive offers 2D / 3D
hybrid visuals that seem stunning. The artwork of the game offers a new direction
& enhanced character animation is something never seen in a fighting game.
