This week only 4 games are launching, one of which is Omega Strike & it is a 2D platformer. Omega Strike follows a group of fighters known together as the Omega Strike team.

Omega Strike Story:

Dr. Omega created an army of mutants to control this world. You are 3 men team & your job is to stop this army from dominating this planet.

When you make progress & unlock new skills, you can revisit previous areas & you can then access more areas & encounter new bosses. You can also get new abilities & the cycle unfolds for the rest of the Omega Strike game.

Omega Strike Gameplay:

Doctor Omega & his army of mutants want to control this planet. Omega Strike is an action adventure video game which features multiple playable characters. You can discover an interconnected world, beat monstrous opponents, find hidden treasures & learn new skills. Each fighter in your team has unique skills & you must use them to overcome the traps & antagonists that roam the world of Omega Strike.

When you dive deeper into Omega Strike & unlock new abilities, you will go back to previously charted locations to reach new regions. This idea is repeated multiple times in Omega Strike & it is not a bad idea.

Omega Strike is a combination of two popular video games Metroid & Metal Slug. You spend majority of the time getting back your skills, & you are allowed to swap b/w 3 heroes (Sarge, Dex & Bear). Each of them have different skills. Omega Strike features RPG elements which allows you to upgrade equipment & purchase healing items. It is not a very long game & can be completed in 6-8 hours based on how you play it. Omega Strike is not an easy game but it is a fun, little adventure.

Omega Strike Release Date:

Omega Strike was released on Nintendo Switch on 24 December 2018. It was released on other platforms including PS4, Xbox One & PC on 4 October 2017.
