Fimbul is a single player, comic book, isometric hack & slash, action adventure game that is set in extreme cold conditions.

Fimbul Plot:

The game is set in the final winter before Ragnarok, The Fimbul Winter. The game combines intense Viking combats with a deep story that unfolds as player progresses through the game. The game brings the frozen world of the Norse sagas back to life. In the game, player takes control of an old berserk, travelling to Jotunheim, in order to fulfill his destiny. The player sole purpose is to fight Trolls & Jotuns in order to reclaim an ancient artifact that can save Midgard.

Fimbul Gameplay:

Player can use the time-line-tree at any point to know about the decisions that changed player’s fate. Player can navigate choices by going to any intersection & follow a different path through player’s story. Player has to battle against the Vikings using a weapon-based combat system & gather fellow Vikings in order to help player in defeating the giant tree sized trolls. Player can use items from the near past, in order to fight the mighty Jutons.

Verdict:

Trolls are really the fun. They are, you can say a big angry creatures & also the stars of the show in my opinion. Trolls can crush soldiers. To deal with trolls’ player needs better tactics than just to run up & stab its ankles in order to bring it down. While fighting giants, I want to be occasionally thrown far away, so that, I can charge back in again & hit them with all the might.
