Will The Red Solstice 2 Survivors release on PS4 & PS5?
The Red Solstice 2 Survivors is a
real time strategy game playable from bird’s eye view. Games from the top-down
perspective are preferred for PC platforms however, many of them also release
on consoles. The Red Solstice II Survivors will release on PC on 17 June, 2021
but will this game release on consoles too? It is confirmed that The Red
Solstice 2 Survivors will only be available on PC at launch so we are not sure
about its release on other platforms including PS4 & PS5. Many publishers
initially launch games for a few platforms & later using the budget earned
from sold copies, they release their game on other platforms too. It needs a
high commitment & budget to launch a game on multiple platforms at the same
time. But after the game launch, developers have enough time to build the game
for other platforms. Now we are eagerly waiting for confirmed news from the developers
about the development of The Red Solstice 2 Survivors for more platforms
including PS4 & PS5. The Red Solstice is developed by Ironward &
published by 505 Games.

After seeing the Linkedin page of
Ironward, I found that Ironward is a small team that develops games for
computers so it seems that they give preference to PC platforms. Ironward only
developed 3 games so far, The Red Solstice in 2010, Solstice Chronicles MIA in
2017, & The Red Solstice 2 Survivors in 2021. Ironward released The Red
Solstice exclusively on PC, but they released Solstice Chronicles MIA on PC in
2017 & later on Nintendo Switch in 2019. Solstice Chronicles MIA is a
top-down shooter too. One of their game Solstice Chronicles MIA made its way to
the Nintendo Switch later so there is a chance that The Red Solstice 2
Survivors may also release on other platforms. The Red
Solstice was a PC exclusive game, but its spin-off Solstice Chronicles: MIA also launched on Nintendo Switch, so chances for releasing The Red Solstice 2
Survivors on other platforms like PS4 & PS5 are slim.
