Guilty Gear Strive supports local (shared / split screen) & online PVP Multiplayer Mode:
Guilty Gear Strive offers player
vs player battles. It allows players to face each other in a one player vs one
player fight. Players are able to choose a character from a list. Then they
must face each other in a battle arena.
Guilty Gear Strive offers VS
multiplayer as well as single player modes. Players can compete against each
other on the shared screen. Fighting games usually offer PVP battles on the
shared screen because in those games players can see the gameplay from the
side. On the same screen, both players must remain close to each other.
Fighting games are best for both local & online PVP multiplayer. Luckily
Guilty Gear Strive also offers an online PVP multiplayer that lets players play
against each other from their homes using the internet.
No Tag Team Battles in Guilty Gear Strive:
Guilty Gear Strive does not
support tag team battles so players can only play in one vs one battles. Also,
the game does not support co-op. It only consists of VS multiplayer. Tag team
battles are always nice but I think that 1 vs 1 fights seem fine too.
Cross Play is replaced with Cross-Gen Play:
Guilty Gear Strive does not
support Cross Platform Play but instead it offers Cross-Gen Play. In Cross-Gen
Play, players of PS5 are able to play with previous generation players i.e.,
PS4. Guilty Gear Strive releases on PS4, PS5 & PC. So, PlayStation players
will not be able to play the game with PC players & for PC, Cross-Gen Play
does not exist. Cross Play allows players of every platform to play with each
other. Lack of Cross Play does not seem good because it is a popular feature
than Cross-Gen Play.
No Cross Save / Cross Progression in Guilty Gear Strive:
Guilty Gear Strive does not
support Cross Save. Players must finish the game on the platform that they have
started playing & can’t take their game progress to another platform. Lack
of Cross Save seems a bit disappointing. Cross Save has another name Cross
Progression.
What’s special about Guilty Gear Strive:
Guilty Gear Strive supports 2D /
3D hybrid graphics. Character animations seem stunning & every character
has many awesome tricks.
Guilty Gear Strive Release Date:
Guilty Gear Strive releases on PS4, PS5 & PC on 11 June, 2021.
